Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

For Editors

Editors may reject a submission for plagiarism, copyright violations, ethical non compliance, or failure to meet pre publication requirements. The editorial team works collectively to ensure that all manuscripts meet the quality benchmarks set by the journal.

Editorial evaluation is based entirely on academic merit and relevance. Decisions are not influenced by the author’s race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, citizenship, religion, political beliefs, or institutional affiliation. The decision of the Editor in Chief is final and binding.

Editors handle all manuscript related communication with authors and reviewers. They must maintain strict confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts. Manuscript content may only be shared with the Corresponding Author, assigned reviewers, or editorial staff directly involved in processing the submission.

Editors must disclose any personal, professional, or research related conflicts of interest. If such a conflict arises, the manuscript will be reassigned to another editor. Editors must not use unpublished manuscript data for personal research or benefit.

All manuscripts that pass plagiarism screening are sent to at least two expert reviewers. Based on the reviewer reports, scholarly value, and legal considerations such as libel or copyright issues, the Editor in Chief makes the final publication decision. This decision may involve consultation with other editors or reviewers.

For Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making informed decisions and help authors improve their manuscripts. Reviewers are invited after the manuscript is received. If a reviewer feels unqualified to evaluate the research or is unable to submit a timely review, they should decline promptly so that an alternative reviewer can be appointed.

All manuscripts sent for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shared or discussed with others unless explicitly permitted by the Editor in Chief.

Reviewers must conduct evaluations objectively and without personal bias. CIJFMR follows a blind peer review process to ensure fairness and transparency.

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited and should alert editors to any overlap or similarity between the submitted manuscript and any other work known to them, including unpublished material.

Any conflict of interest, whether personal, professional, or research based, must be disclosed to the editors. Reviewers must not use unpublished manuscript data for their own advantage.

For Authors and Author Responsibilities

Each manuscript must include an abstract in the required format. The abstract should be clear, concise, and informative. Findings, analysis, and conclusions must be presented logically and supported by appropriate evidence. All results derived from the methodology must be reported.

Unethical behavior, including knowingly providing false or misleading information, is strictly prohibited.

CIJFMR follows a zero tolerance policy on plagiarism. Any manuscript containing plagiarised content will be rejected. Authors must affirm that the manuscript is their original work and contains no plagiarism. If plagiarism or copyright infringement is detected after publication, the Editor in Chief along with a committee will investigate and withdraw the manuscript if the allegations are confirmed.

Submitted manuscripts must not be published previously or simultaneously under review elsewhere. Submitting the same work to multiple journals is unacceptable. In rare cases where secondary publication is essential, such exceptions require prior approval from the Editorial Board.

Authorship must include only individuals who meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Significant contribution to the study design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation.
  2. Drafting or critically revising the manuscript.
  3. Approval of the final version and agreement to its submission.

Acknowledgements may include individuals who provided technical assistance, minor contributions, or material support. Written consent must be obtained before including any person in the acknowledgements. The Corresponding Author must ensure accuracy of the authorship and acknowledgement details.

Authors must disclose any financial support or conflicts of interest. All sources of funding must be clearly stated.

Authors must participate fully in the peer review process. Once revisions are requested, authors should provide point by point responses and resubmit the corrected manuscript within the specified timeline.

If an author discovers a major error in a published work, they must notify the editors immediately and submit a corrected version. Manuscripts found to involve unethical practices such as plagiarism, duplicate submissions, data fabrication, or false authorship claims will be removed.
