Copyright and Licensing Policy

Copyright Notice and Ownership

All articles published in the Crossroads International Journal for Multidisciplinary Research display the notice “© CIJFMR [Year]” on their abstract and article pages. This notice reflects the journal’s rights over its publication format, layout, and compilation. Individual authors continue to retain complete copyright ownership of their respective works.

Publication Rights

By submitting a manuscript and upon acceptance for publication, authors grant CIJFMR the following rights:

• The right of first publication
• Non exclusive rights to publish, reproduce, archive, and distribute the work in journal format
• The right to preserve the journal’s compilation copyright, which covers the structure, formatting, and overall presentation of the publication

These rights ensure smooth publication while allowing authors to maintain full creative ownership of their work.

Open Access License

All accepted articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY NC 4.0). Under this license:

• Readers may share, copy, and adapt the work for non commercial purposes
• Appropriate credit must be given to both the author and CIJFMR
• The journal’s compilation copyright remains protected
• Commercial use of the content requires separate permission from the author

Third Party Content

Authors are responsible for securing written permission for any third party materials included in their manuscript. This includes images, figures, tables, datasets, or copyrighted text. Any legal or financial liability arising from the improper use of third party content will be borne solely by the author or authors.

Author Rights

Even after publication, authors retain the right to:

• Use their work for academic, teaching, or professional purposes
• Deposit the published version or accepted manuscript in institutional or subject based repositories
• Include their work in future books or compilations
• Present their work at seminars, workshops, and conferences
• Create derivative or extended versions of their work with proper citation of the original publication

Attribution Requirements

When reproducing or citing articles published in CIJFMR, both the author copyright and the journal compilation copyright must be acknowledged. The recommended citation format is:
