The Crossroads International Journal for Multidisciplinary Research (CIJFMR) is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal that publishes original scholarship in law and legal studies, the social sciences, the humanities, and management and business studies. LawFoyer publishes the Journal six times a year, and manuscripts are considered throughout the year.

Why "Crossroads"

Disciplines organise knowledge; problems ignore them. The regulation of artificial intelligence is at once a legal, economic, ethical and managerial question. The governance of a cooperative bank draws on company law, finance and sociology. A study of land rights needs history as much as statute.

CIJFMR exists for research that sits where these roads meet. It publishes rigorous work within each of its four domains, and gives particular attention to scholarship that brings two or more of them into conversation.

Mission

  1. Publish original, rigorous and relevant research that advances understanding in the Journal's four domains and at their intersections.
  2. Make that research freely available to readers everywhere, from the day of publication.
  3. Hold every manuscript to the same scholarly standard through fair, confidential and timely review.
  4. Give early-career researchers, practitioners and established scholars an equal hearing.
  5. Connect research to policy and practice, especially in India and the Global South.

Editorial standards

  • Staged, double-blind review. Every manuscript passes a plagiarism check and an editorial guideline review before double-blind peer review by an independent expert. Editors take every decision on scholarly merit alone.
  • Ethics. The Journal follows the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and publishes its policies on ethics, peer review, AI use, corrections and complaints.
  • Editorial independence. Fees, payments and waivers are handled separately from the editorial process and never reach reviewers.
  • Integrity of the record. The Journal corrects and retracts openly, with notices on the article page, and never silently alters a published article.
  • Honest information. The Journal reports its indexing, timelines and editorial board accurately and makes no claim it cannot verify.

CIJFMR publishes academics, researchers, doctoral and postgraduate scholars, practitioners and policymakers from India and abroad. Each manuscript is judged on its merits, not on the seniority or affiliation of its author.
