Open access statement

CIJFMR is a fully open-access journal. All content is freely available, without charge, to every reader and institution from the date of publication. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search and link to the full text of articles, and use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the Publisher or the authors, subject to the licence below. This follows the Budapest Open Access Initiative's definition of open access. There is no embargo period, no subscription and no pay-per-view charge.

Licence

CIJFMR publishes every article under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-NC 4.0). Under this licence, anyone may:

  • Share: copy and redistribute the article in any medium or format; and
  • Adapt: remix, transform and build upon the article,

on these conditions:

  • Attribution: give appropriate credit to the authors and to CIJFMR, link to the licence and the article, and indicate whether changes were made, in a way that does not suggest endorsement by the authors or the Journal;
  • Non-commercial: do not use the article for commercial purposes.

Copyright

Authors retain copyright in their articles. On acceptance, the corresponding author grants the Publisher a non-exclusive licence to publish the article and the right of first publication through the Author licence agreement.

Self-archiving and sharing

Authors may deposit any version of their article, including the published version, in institutional and subject repositories, funder repositories, personal and departmental websites, and academic networking sites, at any time and without embargo, provided they cite the original publication in CIJFMR with a link to the article.

Third-party material

The CC BY-NC 4.0 licence does not extend to third-party material (such as figures, photographs or extracts) reproduced in an article with permission. Such material is identified in its caption, and readers must obtain permission from the rights holder to reuse it.

Digital preservation

The Journal is committed to the permanent availability of its content. Articles are kept in the Journal's own archive on cijfmr.com, which is backed up regularly, and their metadata is openly available for harvesting through the Journal's OAI-PMH interface. CIJFMR, as an Open Journal Systems journal, intends to register with the PKP Preservation Network, and this page will be updated once registration is complete.

Metadata

Article metadata, including titles, abstracts, author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs and licence information, is openly available and released under a CC0 public domain dedication, so that indexing services and discovery tools can reuse it without restriction.

Cost to readers

Reading, downloading and sharing CIJFMR articles is free. The Journal meets its costs through a modest article processing charge paid only for accepted manuscripts, with waivers available.
