Editorial board

CIJFMR is guided by scholars and practitioners from law, the social sciences, the humanities, and management and business studies. Members are listed only after they have accepted their appointment and agreed to the public display of their profile. Each listing gives the member's designation and institution so that readers can verify it.

Editorial roles

• Editor-in-Chief: sets the Journal's editorial direction, policies and standards, takes final decisions on appeals and ethical matters, and safeguards the independence of the editorial process.
• Managing Editor: runs the editorial office, oversees the plagiarism check, editorial review and the progress of manuscripts through peer review and production, and coordinates the publication of each issue.
• Associate Editors: handle manuscripts in their field: they screen submissions, select reviewers, evaluate reports and recommend or make decisions.
• Editorial Board Members: advise on the Journal's scope and policies, review manuscripts in their fields, identify reviewers and promote the Journal in their academic communities.
• Advisory Board: senior scholars and practitioners who advise on the Journal's strategic direction, international reach and academic standing.

Composition of the board

1. Expertise: each member holds recognised expertise in one of the Journal's domains, normally a doctoral degree and a record of peer-reviewed publication.
2. Breadth: the board covers all four domains and draws members from several institutions and countries.
3. Independence: no single institution supplies a majority of the board.
4. Accountability: members serve renewable terms of three years, and the Journal reviews the board's composition every year.

Conflicts of interest

Editors and board members declare their conflicts of interest and step aside from any manuscript where one exists. A manuscript submitted by an editor or board member is handled entirely by an editor without a conflict, as set out in the Peer review policy.

CIJFMR welcomes expressions of interest from experienced academics, researchers and practitioners in any of its subject areas. Write to editor@cijfmr.com with the subject line "Editorial board application" or "Reviewer application", attaching a short CV (no more than two pages), your ORCID iD or institutional profile link, your areas of expertise and research methods, and the role you are applying for. The editorial office acknowledges every application and replies within 15 working days. See the Guidelines for reviewers for what reviewing involves.
