CIJFMR is a fully open-access journal. Every published article is free to read, download and share from the day it appears, with no subscription or pay-per-view barrier for readers. To keep it that way, the Journal recovers part of its publishing costs through a modest, one-time article processing charge (APC) paid only for accepted manuscripts.

In brief

  • Nothing is payable at submission.
  • Nothing is payable during review.
  • Nothing is payable if your manuscript is not accepted.
  • The charge applies only after acceptance and is per manuscript, not per author.

Charge schedule

AuthorshipProcessing charge
Single author₹600
2 authors₹800
3 authors₹1,000
4 authors₹1,200
International authors corresponding author based outside India, one to four authorsUS$20

A manuscript may list no more than four authors, including the corresponding author. For manuscripts whose corresponding author is based in India, the charge depends on the number of authors listed on the accepted manuscript. Manuscripts whose corresponding author is based outside India pay the single international charge, whatever the number of authors.

What the charge covers

  • editorial handling and the management of double-blind peer review;
  • plagiarism and AI-content screening of every manuscript;
  • copy-editing, formatting and typesetting;
  • online publication, hosting and archiving, and the distribution of article metadata;
  • a certificate of publication for every author.

There are no additional charges for figures, tables or extra pages within the permitted word limits.

When and how to pay

  1. When your manuscript is accepted, the corresponding author receives an acceptance email from editor@cijfmr.com with a private, secure link.
  2. Through that link, the corresponding author accepts the author licence agreement on behalf of all authors and pays online through Razorpay, by UPI, debit or credit card, net banking or wallet.
  3. Payment is due within 14 days of acceptance. If you need more time, write to the editorial office before the deadline.
  4. A payment acknowledgement is emailed as soon as the payment is received, and the manuscript moves into production.

The Journal does not accept payment in cash, into personal bank accounts, or through any link that was not sent from editor@cijfmr.com or shown on this website.

Waivers

CIJFMR does not want cost to prevent good scholarship from being published. The Journal considers requests for a full or partial waiver from:

  • authors whose corresponding author is based in a country classified by the World Bank as low-income or lower-middle-income;
  • students and independent researchers in India who demonstrate genuine financial hardship;
  • authors invited by the editors to contribute to a special issue or symposium, where the invitation states that no charge applies.

How to request a waiver. Make the request in the "Note to the editor" box of the submission form, or by email before acceptance, with a brief explanation. Waiver requests are decided by the publisher's office. Reviewers are not told whether a waiver was requested or granted, and a request has no bearing on the editorial decision.

Our editorial firewall

  • Payment, or the ability to pay, never influences editorial decisions.
  • Reviewers do not see payment or waiver information.
  • The acceptance decision is final before any charge is requested.
  • Payment does not guarantee publication if serious ethical concerns, such as plagiarism or data fabrication, come to light after acceptance. In that case the charge is refunded in full under the Refund and cancellation policy.

Refunds

Refunds are governed by the Refund and cancellation policy. In brief, the Journal refunds the charge in full if it cannot publish an accepted, paid manuscript for reasons within its control, and refunds duplicate or excess payments. It does not refund the charge once the article has been published.

Beware of impersonation. Be cautious of anyone who asks for payment on behalf of CIJFMR through any other channel, offers guaranteed or accelerated acceptance for a fee, or writes from an email domain other than cijfmr.com. If in doubt, write to editor@cijfmr.com before paying.
